Portrait Transformation Reflection

The concept behind my portrait transformation is myself with a paintball gun as my only defense with a look of fear and fright, but have another version of me that is noticeably more confident and not afraid to show the two different reactions possible for me to express in that moment. I also made the picture of me being more confident brighter to highlight that the darkness of the forest has no control over my state of mind. As the picture of me scared portrays the control the dark forest has over me. The title of my project is confusion of expression.I am happy with my results because I feel I did a clean job pasting the pictures of myself into the forest. As well as effectively conveying my concept with the pictures I took. When doing my project I did not attempt any image adjustments. I decided I wanted to keep the images raw, because they originally portrayed my concept. But when pasting the picture of myself, I first downloaded the image and dragged it into my photoshop file with the picture of the forest. I then rasterized the image to make it possible to use the magnetic lasso tool to cut myself from the background of my personal photo. I then used the lasso tool to make the cut out cleaner. After that I inverted the image to get rid of everything around the outline of myself. I then free scaled myself to an appropriate size and moved my original picture layer on top of the forest, and placed myself where I found fit.
